Theresa is a widely experienced L&D professional with proven facilitation, coaching, and relationship building skills, who consistently delivers to standards of high quality.
Since 2006, Theresa has been operating as a freelance learning and development professional focusing on leadership development. Prior to that she had a successful career in general business management and HR roles within Barclays Bank. Theresa’s career with Barclays in the UK and South Africa includes acting as a lead facilitator on the ‘Big Step’ – Barclay’s biggest leadership and cultural change programme for all line managers across UK Banking. As emerging talent manager she was responsible for the successful implementation of the Emerging Talent Strategy to develop future business leaders across Europe and implemented development options for Emerging Talent including: facilitating ‘Talent Development Forums’ and providing ongoing career coaching. She also designed the content for an award wining Mentoring website. As People Development Manager for Barclays Africa HR she was responsible for the introduction of a new Management Skills Development portfolio across 12 African countries. She also designed an award winning pack on how to develop core leadership competencies.
Example Consulting Assignments
- Co-designed and facilitated a leadership programme for the Experian UK based executive team. This involved the facilitation of five monthly modules plus providing one to one Executive Coaching;
- Re-generated and delivered an award winning leadership programme with Sage that has been directly credited with improving profitability by the CEO of UK and Ireland
- Designed and delivered award winning Leadership Programmes for both HBOS and DVLA, working directly with the senior teams across both businesses to deliver enhanced leadership capability and cultural change;
- Provides Executive Coaching to a number of clients, including BMW, Sage, MFI, HBOS, and DVLA;
- Established a number of partnerships for the provision of training facilitation and executive coaching with companies such as Blue Sky Performance Improvement, Motion Learning, Vivat and Butterflymango.
Other clients Theresa has worked with during this time focusing on leadership and management development include Fujitsu, BBC, BMW, Barnardo’s, London City University and Links of London.
Theresa is also a deeply experienced coach and provides Executive and Personal Coaching to a number of individuals both privately and as an integral part of the corporate leadership programmes she facilitates. Her typical clients work at senior and board levels, including company CEOs and MDs.
Qualifications
Theresa is a Chartered Member of CIPD and is 1 of only 17 people in the UK accredited by Suzanne Rix as a Superworking facilitator; She is accredited by TMS Development International to profile Team Managing and Linking skills products; she is also accredited by SDI to administer and interpret the Strength Deployment Inventory and Relationship awareness tools; She is a graduate of Anthony Robbins Life Mastery University programme and is a certified NLP Practitioner.
