Dick has some 30 years of experience in Higher Education, Personnel and Organisation Development Consultancy. He holds a PhD from the Arizona State University Centre for Higher Education.
Dick consults in a variety of organisational development areas including strategic planning, management and executive development, productivity systems and HRD strategy.
He has held various appointments in the United States in University, Hospital and Manufacturing settings. He has been a Personnel Director, Training Director and Organisation Development Consultant. Having been a member of the teaching faculty at a number of colleges and universities in Arizona and California, he has also worked with management development programmes at the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and Durham University. He has also served as an accreditation panellist for the Association of MBA’s.
Dick was a member of the Editorial Review Boards of Management Decisions, Education and Training and the Leadership and Organisation Development Journal and is listed in the current edition of Who’s Who in the World. He has practised as a consultant in Britain since 1991 and has published some 40 practitioner oriented articles in a variety books and journals. He is also the co-author of Leadership, the leadership text for Edinburgh Business School’s MBA programme.
Dick has worked with clients as diverse as British Aerospace, Pilkington Glass, Manchester Airport, Barclays Bank, Granada Television, Wolseley plc, The National Health Service, Crown Cork and Seal, Riverside Housing Association, Airports Company of South Africa, General Electric, P&O Ferrymasters, Raytheon Corporate Jets, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and many others.
