Previously, Peter has been managing director of a building society subsidiary, a construction plc, a private development company, and a ladies fashion outlet! Peter has detailed knowledge of the social housing sector and is active in property development and investment. Details include:

• Marketing Director of North British Retirement Housing Association. He was involved in setting up and developing the first schemes across the UK. 1984 to 1988
• Managing Director of Town & Country Homebuilders Ltd – a building society subsidiary providing development finance – including the retirement sector. 1988 to 1992
• Managing Director - Norbury Construction & Developments plc – developing across North West. 1992 to 1996
• A developer in his own right from 1996 to 2000.

Peter now chooses to operate a portfolio approach to life with emphasis on the bigger picture and social change. He is developing projects with charities around property and environmental solutions to involve chaotic young people, the homeless, and the physically disabled in engaging directly with society. He is active in developing and delivering products and services aimed at older people. Peter is a Chartered Surveyor and has completed the IoD Diploma in Company Direction.
